In many cases, may represent a morphospecies used intentionally by the original author (e.g., "Ocotea sp.2", "Miconia 'fuzzy leaf'"). In other cases, may include a specific epithet so badly misspelled it could not be resolved by the TNRS. In other cases, may be complete garbage. In plot data, this field usually represents morphospecies, and normally should be used instead of "scrubbed_taxon_name_no_author" to count species.
